Andrea Guolo spent 17 years of his journalistic career at the Unic group (Italian tanning industry association) working for the weekly magazine La Conceria and writing facts, figures and transformations in the leather business, visiting most of the Italian companies and participating in major European fairs of the sector.?His articles gave him the possibility to win some journalist prizes, among them the "journalist of the year" in 2011 for a reportage about toxic shoes made in China and sold in Europe, which has been discussed in the Italian Parliament and has become the subject of an investigation by the judiciary.?
He's the secretary of agricultural and environmental journalist association of Emilia Romagna (Italy) and a member of the national board. He wrote 6 books, 4 of which regarding themes and history of the most important Italian producers of shoes and leathergoods. He's 42 years old, lives in Bologna and he loves travelling and visiting Italian and European facilities, where he collects stories and figures about an incredible and precious world: the world of leather.
