Don Ohsman is a full-time trader of North American Hides and he is the President of Hidenet Publications.
Upon graduation from the University of Denver in 1962, he entered his families hide business
started by his grandfather in 1891. He has been producing weekly market reports since 1975.
As an active trader in hides, skins, wet blue and splits, Don is in continual contact with
every major and many smaller American producers. He is also communicating on a regular basis
with a large number of Asian and domestic tanners. He is the writer of the US daily and weekly
Hidenet market reports and a regular contributor to Leather magazine. Don is currently writing
a weekly report titled World Leather Report for FashionNetAsia.com.
Juan Henrique Izquierdo - Latin American Reports
Juan Henrique Izquierdo - Juan is a full-time leather and hide trader, in the business for 21-years.
He started with the Brazilian office of the Hollander Group; then joined Sadesa in Brazil, where he
took care of the logistics and commercialization of the wet blue division for production in Brazil.
After working with both the Rino Mastrotto Group and the Bertin/Bracol tannery in Brazil,
he founded his own company, Pellium Br. Juan plies the leather trade for wet blue hides, splits,
crust and finished leathers. Juan does business in Asia, Europe and North America. When at home
he enjoys playing tennis as a former semi-pro.
Craig Roalson - European Report
Mr. Roalson of Argonay France is a full-time hide trader who has been in the industry
for 24 years. Craig received degrees in language at the University of Bordeaux, France
and Colorado University with a French degree emphasizing International Business. Craig
received his training in the hide and skin business at Trans World Hide Corporation in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, under the tutelage of the President of TW and Hidenet Publications' Chief
Editor, Don Ohsman. He rose to the position of Director of European Sales. In 1995
Craig formed Roalson Trading Company, becoming a sought after authority in European
and UK Hides, skins and leather. The Roalson family enjoys skiing and sledding in the
French Alps, near his home as well as his family home in Cedar Rapids.
